THE WORLD

Ravensworn is set in a belle-èpoque inspired world left reeling in the wake of the Acrid Anomaly, a mysterious cataclysm that wiped out half the population before suddenly falling dormant.

When signs of the Acrid's reemergence appear forty years later, the countries of Angevaine and Navasturia are forced to form an alliance and redirect all resources towards a last-ditch effort against mutual extinction: Project Hypérion.

Spearheaded by three visionary founders—Fréderic Augustin, his sister Annette, and her husband Dante—Hypérion was a ten year long marvel of architecture and engineering made possible by the latchkey discovery of rarified air and the advent of æther-engines to harness it.
